The Millboard range, explained
Which Millboard board width and colour to choose, what the edging and subframe add, and current prices for the whole range.
Millboard is a moulded polyurethane board with a mineral-stone core and a hand-cast wood texture. It is not a composite in the usual sense — there is no wood flour in it — which is why it behaves differently underfoot and why it is priced where it is.
This guide covers what you actually have to decide: width, colour, edge treatment, and what goes underneath.

Choosing a width
The Enhanced Grain range is the mainstream choice and comes in two widths.
- 176 mm is the standard board. Fewer boards per square metre, fewer fixings, and a slightly calmer look on a large terrace.
- 126 mm reads as a finer, more traditional board. On a small or narrow deck it flatters the proportions; on a big one it is more work and more clips.
Per square metre the two are usually close — narrower boards cost less each but you need more of them. The price-per-m² column above is the one to compare, and the configurator will do it properly for your actual footprint.
Colour
The Enhanced Grain colours are through-coloured with a hand-finished top, so they weather rather than fade to grey. The configurator treats colour as part of the product: pick a colour and every stock length of that exact board stays available to the cutting-stock solver, but no deck will ever mix two colours in one surface.
Worth knowing: a few colours sit at a slightly higher price than the rest of the same width. The table shows which.
Edging
Millboard's bullnose board is the usual perimeter treatment — a rounded front edge that hides the board ends and the subframe.

A picture-frame border uses the same boards turned around the perimeter instead, which costs boards rather than edging. Both are options on the configurator, and both reprice instantly.
What goes underneath
Millboard is normally laid on Plas-Pro, a recycled-plastic subframe joist that does not rot in ground contact. It is more expensive per metre than treated softwood and it spans less, so it needs more support — the two effects compound and the subframe becomes a real line in the budget rather than an afterthought.

You can also lay Millboard on treated softwood joists, which is cheaper and common where the frame is well ventilated and off the ground. Both are selectable, and the solver sizes the frame either way.
